AIG100: The Centennial Celebration
How a leading global insurance company Jaga Malaysia for 66 years and beyond
Challenge
December 2018 marked the start of the centennial year for AIG. In Malaysia, AIG has been protecting Malaysians and businesses for over 65 years then. However, many were not aware of who and what AIG stands for. The AIG100 celebration was an opportune time for the insurance company to highlight its mission of #AIGJagaYou to customers and clients, through the media. VoxEureka was tasked to plan and execute a media briefing that would reposition AIG as a leading global insurance company that understands and addresses current and future risks for businesses and consumers.
Solution
AIG Malaysia has a diverse range of offerings – from insurance to financial services – targeting different audiences (industries, businesses, consumers). This media briefing was important for us to drive AIG’s narrative and set the tone for 2019 and beyond.
The briefing and all AIG100 communications in Malaysia focused on:
- Emphasizing AIG’s credibility through heritage
- Positioning AIG as an innovative insurer ahead of industry trends by discussing our vision of risk
- Demonstrating AIG’s commitment to Jaga Malaysia (individuals, businesses, communities)
Outcome
The media briefing resulted in almost RM1million in PR Value as well as strong headlines and articles positioning AIG Malaysia as being at the forefront in safeguarding Malaysia.
