Challenge
As part of its Discover the World series, McDonald’s was launching its Spicy Korean Burger – but had not conducted a media launch in a while.
Solution
Held in one of their flagship restaurants in Mutiara Damansara, we hosted both media and bloggers – but kept a degree of separation given the tension between parties.
Outcome
Over 50+ media and bloggers were in attendance. To our surprise, McDonald’s commented that it was one of the best attendance they had observed. While traditional news publications focused on the brand’s expansion plans, online media gushed about the Korean burger and it sold out within two weeks.
